Joint Industry
Coupon Committee announces new Coupon Value Codes
In an effort to more effectively
meet the promotional needs of manufacturers that issue cents-off
coupons for their products, the Joint Industry Coupon Committee (JICC)
recently announced the following additions to and deletions from
the Coupon Value Code Table. The two-digit Value Code represents
the dollar and cent value of the coupon (or validates a free item)
when specific purchase requirements have been met by the consumer.
Effective July 1, 2000, the
following five new Value Codes will be in effect. Retailers may
add the new Value Codes to their tables anytime prior to July 1 as
they are not currently defined.
